Cascina Sharaabi
Cascina Sharaabi is the holiday home of the Dobberstein family in the Langhe region of Piedmont, Italy.
By coincidence, we discovered this wonderful region and spot in early 2006. We were attracted to the region by the temptations of slow food cooking, the lure of Barolo wines and the possibility of skiing in the Mediterranean Alps. The house caught our attention due to its distinct location on top of a hill and its commanding views on the rolling hills of the charming Langhe region and the Alps.
Although marketed as “ready to move in”, we had to renovate the house completely. As a result, we were able to create a little abode for us, our families and friends.
